Admissions

REQUIREMENTS FOR ENTRANCE

1. 18 years old. 16-17 years old must have parental or guardian consent - summer only.
2. Read and write the English language.
3. Reasonable manual dexterity, normal vision with corrective lens - color vision for fish air brushing.

FEE PAYMENT

All remaining tuition to be paid at orientation, 8:00am-10:00am

CREDIT FOR OTHER TRAINING

There is no credit for other training

STUDENT ATTENDANCE

Student participation and attendance is required for training. Missed days will not be made up. Leave of absence will not be granted. Students can re-enroll in future classes as space allows.

TARDINESS

Tardiness and attendance records are kept. Lectures start at 8:00am and 1:00pm. Student must be on time.

RULES

1. Vulgar language will not be tolerated.
2. Professional class demeanor is expected.
3. Smoking policy: no smoking in class, student lounge or housing. There will be class breaks in the morning and afternoon. Smoking is allowed outside the building.

STUDENT REGULATIONS AND CONDUCT

A student will be civil to other students and instructors. Abusive actions can result in dismissal. There is no probation period. Student Complaints: Complaints not resolved with school management can be directed to the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board - 608-266-1996.

DISMISSAL PROCESS

1st - Private verbal warning recorded in the student's file.
2nd - Private written warning presented and filed.
3rd - Immediate dismissal.
Physical assaults: No verbal or written warning. the assaulting student will immediately leave the facility. Dismissal refund policy is below.

HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE CLASSROOM

Desk level work stations are designed for handicapped students. Housing for handicapped students will be outside the school. Credit for outside housing will be $125 per week.

2nd week - 50% Refund
3rd week - 25%
Refund 4th week - No Refund

1 Week Course
1st day - 100% Refund
2nd day - 75% Refund
3rd day - 50% Refund
4th day - 25% Refund
5th day - No Refund
*Unused specimens and supplies: 100% refund.
